Amber Mustafic
Amber Mustafic (b. 1997, New York, NY) is an Albanian-American artist whose intricate embroideries explore the mysticism and sublimity of intimate solitude, human connection, and our relationship to the natural and spirit worlds. Through ethereal, hand-stitched dreamscapes, often depicting archetypal reflections of herself and loved ones, she draws on symbolic figuration and memory to explore themes of transformation, liberation and oneness. Mustafic holds a B.A. in Art History from Colorado College (2019). She is a CERF+ Grant Recipient (2022) and has participated in the Design Fellowship at Colorado College (2019), the DNA Residency at Freight+Volume in Provincetown, MA (2022, 2023), and has an upcoming Vermont Studio Center Residency (2025). In 2023, she presented her first solo exhibition with the Kansas City Artists Coalition in Kansas City, MO, and will debut a two-person show at Distortion Society in Beacon, NY in 2025. Her work has been featured in group exhibitions at The Hudson River Museum (Yonkers, NY), Woman Made Gallery (Chicago, IL), Drive-By Projects (Boston, MA), READYMADE (Orleans, MA), and Gallery 263 (Cambridge, MA), among others.
