











Anna Maria Schönrock
Anna Maria Schönrock is a painter based in Nuremberg, Germany. In her paintings she deals with the reorganisation of familiar pictorial motifs while exploring the interfaces between nature and man-made spaces.
Combining real and imagined aspects and elements, she creates representative sceneries of familiar motives like still lifes, flowers or windows, which contain an element of irritation and at the same time feed on our cultural ideas, which are characterised by viewing habits and collective visual traditions, in order to raise questions, question patterns of perception and create space for alternative perspectives. Schönrock holds a degree in Painting of at the Academy of fine Arts in Nuremberg. Her work has been exhibited in venues including the Museum for contemporary art in Erlangen, Karpuchina Gallery in Prague, Galleria Sara Zanin in Rome, Purdy&Hicks Gallery in London, among others.
